HomeMOVING QUESTIONS

Moving questions?
We’ve got answers.

A few things to know as you plan your move. If your question is more specific, our team is a call away.

How do I check availability and book?

Share your preferred date and move details through the estimate form or call (512) 765-6653. Confirm availability, the written estimate, and scheduling details with our team before making arrangements.

What payment methods do you accept?

Cash, personal checks, certified checks, and major credit cards. EFT is available on request. Confirm payment arrangements and any applicable charges in your written estimate.

What items cannot be transported?

We do not transport ammunition, firearms, combustibles, explosives, illegal substances, flammables, household or industrial chemicals, pets, or people. Ask our team about any item you are unsure of before moving day.

Can you disconnect or reconnect appliances?

Appliance disconnection may be provided as needed. Reconnection is conditional and must be discussed with our team, including connection testing and the required liability release. Confirm the agreed scope before moving day.

How do I get a moving estimate?

Call (512) 765-6653, complete the quote form, or start a QubeSheets self guided walkthrough. Tell us your dates, locations, inventory, and access needs so we can prepare a written estimate.

Are you a moving company or a broker?

First Class Relocation & Storage is a direct carrier. We plan the move with our own crews and equipment. You can use Keep It Classy to look up our registered identity and review the current official record.

Can you help with packing and specialty items?

Yes. We offer full and partial packing, unpacking, furniture assembly and disassembly, specialty handling, and custom crating. Tell us about pianos, safes, artwork, pool tables, and other special pieces before we quote the move.

What if I need storage between homes?

Let us know your dates and the items you need stored. We can discuss short or long term storage options and coordinate the moving stages around them.

What should I include in my walkthrough?

Show each room and the belongings being moved. Include closets, the garage, outdoor items, large or fragile pieces, and any access challenges. QubeSheets lets you share photos or videos with our team.

How can I check a moving company?

Use Keep It Classy to prepare a USDOT or legal/DBA name search, then review the official MOTUS record. A listing alone does not establish current authority. For moves entirely within Texas, check the official TxDMV resources as well.

Do you provide written estimates?

Yes. We prepare personalized written estimates based on the information reviewed with you. A verified inventory or walkthrough helps clarify the scope, protection, equipment, and access requirements.

How do I plan around stairs, elevators, or building rules?

Tell us about stairs, elevator reservations, loading areas, parking, and certificate of insurance requirements early. Those details help us plan access and avoid surprises on moving day.

Getting ready for moving day

What should I keep with me?

Keep medication, identification, important documents, keys, chargers, and first night essentials accessible. Separate anything that should not be loaded and secure pets away from the moving route.

Where can I learn about pricing?

Visit our moving estimates page for the factors that shape a written estimate. Confirm the actual services, pricing basis, payment terms, and any fees with our team before booking.
