Let’s work through
the details.
Send photographs, dimensions, materials, and destination details. Our team will assess whether a custom wood crate is suitable and include the agreed work in your estimate.
Our team will discuss the scope with you and prepare a personalized written estimate. Tell us about any changes to the inventory or access before moving day.
Start your inventory (QubeSheets)Crating begins with the item
Custom wooden crates can be planned for pieces that need additional protection. Confirm crate construction and packing responsibilities in your estimate. Share the object’s dimensions, materials, condition, destination, and handling restrictions so the crate and inner protection can be planned together.
Antique furniture, glass, artwork, and unusually shaped belongings may call for different supports and packing methods. We assess the piece before recommending a crate; not every fragile item needs the same solution.
Three details that shape the plan
The piece: show every side, fragile projections, removable parts, existing damage, and any maker’s instructions. Provide measurements and approximate weight when known.
The route: include doorways, stairs, lifts, carrying distance, and the receiving space. A finished crate changes the dimensions that must fit through the route.
The scope: confirm packing, crate construction, loading, transportation, uncrating, and placement responsibilities in writing. Any international wood packaging requirements need separate confirmation for the destination.
Lladró and other delicate collections
For Lladró figurines and fine porcelain, begin with individual photographs and any original fitted packaging. Discuss how each piece will be protected inside its container and whether the collection needs an additional outer crate.
Keep an itemized list of the collection and review the agreed packing and handling plan before moving day. Let our team know about repairs, loose parts, or other details that may affect preparation.
